I'm Danielle Parker, a Texan creative now based in Winston-Salem, NC. I’m currently part of the Two Cities Church Residency Program, where I’m pursuing an MA in Christian Ministry while working in college ministry.

My Photography Journey

Photography has always been a part of my life. It all started with a GoPro my dad let me borrow on a trip to the French countryside. I didn’t know it then, but that camera was the start of something that would grow into a lifelong passion. From there, I graduated to Fujifilm in high school, capturing moments from my travels on all seven continents.

I earned a double major in Art History and Communication at Wake Forest University, where my love for photography deepened. Studying abroad in Venice, Italy, I saw how images tell powerful, intentional stories. But it was in Antarctica that I found my true passion: wildlife photography. In untouched landscapes, free from distraction, I encountered God’s presence in a new way. Through my lens, I capture His handiwork—sharing the beauty of creation and the stories it tells.

The ‘Why’ Behind My Art

Photography

At its core, my photography is about much more than just taking pictures—it's about capturing moments that reveal the glory of our Creator. Every photo I take is an invitation to reflect on God's redemptive story, from the beauty of creation to the hope of the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Travel and wildlife photography has given me the unique privilege to capture life in its purest form, showing the intricate and majestic designs of our Creator. Each image is a visual parable, a testament to the wonder of His artistry and a call to embrace our responsibility as stewards of the earth.

Poetry

In the beginning, our God spoke this breathtaking world into existence with words. Words hold power. Poetry is not just an artful expression but an intentional way of communicating profound truths. My poems and liturgies reflect the Scripture I meditate on, convicting things the Lord communicated to me, and the experiences I’ve embraced. Each piece is a product of prayer; these words aim not to glorify my mind but our great Lord God’s.

My Mission

My mission is simple: to use the beauty of God's creation, captured through my lens, as a bridge to tell the story of the Creator and His redemptive work. Through wildlife photography, storytelling, and writing, I hope to inspire others to marvel at creation, reflect on the gospel, and embrace the call to stewardship.

As I continue to travel the world, my heart is to not only capture stunning images but to share the hope of Christ through every story and every shot. Join me on this creative journey as we reflect on the majesty of our Creator and His plan for the world.
